

i used a bench grinder for this but a file or sand paper should work just as well just take longer. after you get it to work, file the sharp edges off the metal casing. this will take time and finesse but it should work after a while. with the relay out, try bending it and filing the small heat wire. put it in a vise with a light grip you will have to turn it and put the screwdriver on the lip and hit it with your hand to bend the metal off after you do this all the way around you should be able to pull the relay out.

break a section of metal free with a manual can opener. you use the can opener to break the lip off the whole way around but a screwdriver works better after you start it with a can opener. if it is the round metal style you can open the top portion with a manual can opener a flat head screwdriver and a vise.
